**Hospitalization** Sadly, illnesses occur which require hospitalization. We understand the concern you have when your pet is sick and is away from home. Please know that our trained doctors and staff are working on your pet's behalf, doing for him what cannot be done at home, in order to get him well and get him home. We want very much to keep you informed of your pet's health status and ongoing procedures. Communication is extremely important and visitation can be arranged. Typically, we consult with you daily on procedures, testing and treatment as well as on how your pet is doing. We are always happy to answer your questions to the best of our ability, or find the answer for you. **Surgery** Our facilities and staff allow us to address most of your pet's dental, soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery needs. We are extremely proud of our continuing education that allows us to maintain the highest standards and keep abreast of the best anesthetic and surgical techniques t hat can be offered to your pet. When you schedule your pet's surgery, special feeding instructions will be given to you. The doctor will examine each patient on the day of surgery, prior to the scheduled surgical procedure and answer your questions at that time. Special consideration for pain management and necessary laboratory tests prior to anesthesia will be discussed at the time your pet is admitted for surgery.
