Palliative Care and Hospice Care: Senior care, palliative care, in home euthanasia
Hospice care (Pawspice) always includes palliative care, but it is focused on terminally ill patients. These pets are no longer receiving treatments to cure their illness and are expected to live for about 2 months or less.
Palliative care is medical care that is focused on relief of the pain, stress and other debilitating symptoms of serious illness. Generally, palliative care can be delivered at the same time as treatment that is meant to cure your pet. The goal is to relieve suffering and provide the best possible quality of life for your beloved friend.
