The Southern Colorado Spay and Neuter Association was opened in April of 1997 as a hopeful solution to the pet over-population problem. Operating out of a little veterinary clinic on the south side of Pueblo, CO, So Co Spay and Neuter Clinic is a wonderful place for pet owners to play a key role in the health of their beloved pets! As a non-profit organization, our clinic can offer spays and neuters for a much lower price than what a regular veterinarian can. This service helps families who could not otherwise afford to have their animal sterilized. Our services are open to the public, regardless of income and offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Appointments are necessary for surgeries, but vaccinations are given on a walk-in basis. Currently, we have a staff of eight, including the licenced veterinarian who performs the surgeries. Three members of the staff work for our no-kill animal shelter that is also a part of our clinic. As a non-profit organization, we do have a working Board of Directors that oversee the practices at our facility, including another licenced veterinarian as an advisor.
